Guidelines for Offsite Visits and Activities

The latest version of the Guidelines was released in April 2008. This revision reflects recent changes in legislation, the move to "Children and Young Peoples Service", best practice and key points learned from serious incidents that have occurred both in this country and abroad.

All schools and establishments were sent copies of the new edition, which officially replaced the old Guidelines (with the blue front cover) in April 2008.

All governors, staff, and volunteers must be made aware of the document and have access to it if they are to be engaged in any responsibility for off-site visits or activities.

Download the latest version of the Guidelines and Code of Practice. Alternatively, we have an editable version so you can amend the templates in the back of the document to suit your establishment's needs, add your own logo to consent forms etc.
